Where to stand
Walk through the forest to the beach, then east along it until the town lights are behind you. Face the sea and look north. Park in a marked car park, not on a forest track.
View to the north
Sea to the north and north-west, the Vistula Lagoon behind you
Sky darkness (Bortle scale): 4
Rules and safety
The dunes are protected, so reach the beach only by the marked paths. Further east, near Piaski, is the Mewia Łacha nature reserve, so check the rules before you go there.
About the spot
Krynica Morska is on the Vistula Spit, at about 54.39° N. The spit is narrow and beyond the beach to the north there is only sea. Away from the town centre and out of season it is darker than the resorts in the west, because forest surrounds it.
