Where to look

Search after storms from the north-west and west, in the strandline between Wustrow and Ahrenshoop.

Wind and waves work best from: NW, W, N.

Local rules

The Fischland is outside the national park and collecting on the beach is allowed here. The Darss north of the village belongs to Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park, whose regulation bans removing soil components. Keep away from the foot of the Hohes Ufer cliff.

About the beach

Ahrenshoop is on the Fischland, a narrow strip of land between the Baltic and the lagoons. Below the active Hohes Ufer cliff the sea keeps cutting into the shore.

Do not miss the next window

The best windows last a few hours: after a storm, after rain, on a clear night with an active Sun. Sign up and we will email you when the index at your spots goes above 60.
