Chances are best in the cold season after windy weather. Search the bands of seaweed and wood along the beach.

Local rules

Collecting amber on the beach is allowed. A piece with an exceptional inclusion may count as danekræ, a find that has to be reported to a museum. The Oksbøl military range lies north of Blåvand: on firing days part of the beach is closed, so watch for flags and signs.
