See the pre-saleWhere to look
Search the edges of fields and meadows where game comes out to feed, along forest roads and at river crossings. Fallow deer like forest edges next to fields, so their palmate antlers often lie close to the forest boundary.
Species
red deer, roe deer, fallow deer
Season: Red deer shed from February to April, fallow deer in April and May. Search from March to May.
Terrain: pine and beech forest, lakes and river valleys
Rules and closures
Drawa National Park and nature reserves are excluded, because collecting antlers is banned there. North of the forest, near Kalisz Pomorski and Oleszno, lies the Drawsko military training area, where entry is forbidden. Otherwise, do not enter wildlife refuges marked with a no-entry sign and do not disturb animals (Arts. 26 and 30 of the Forest Act).
About the area
Drawa Forest is a large forest on the border of West Pomerania and Greater Poland, with strong populations of red deer and fallow deer. Drawno lies next to Drawa National Park, which is excluded.
