Rockpool on the rocks north of the harbour, away from the oyster beds. The best way to get oysters is to buy them at the stalls by the harbour.

Shellfish and sanitary status: Oysters in the farm beds belong to the farmers, and taking them is theft. Gathering wild shellfish for your own use is only possible outside the concessions and with a good sanitary status on pecheapied-responsable.fr.
Rules and safety
In Brittany fishing is banned within 15 m of shellfish farm concessions. Do not walk between the oyster tables. National sizes and the prefect's limits apply, and your catch must not be sold.
About the place
Cancale is the oyster capital of the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. At low tide the oyster beds are visible from La Houle harbour. The rocks to the north, towards Pointe du Grouin, suit rockpooling.
