See the pre-saleWhere to watch
Start from Granica, where the park has an education centre and a car park. Look for moose at dawn and dusk at the edges of marshes and meadows visible from the trails. In early spring, before the leaves come out, they are easiest to see.
What you can see
moose, Eurasian beaver, common crane, red deer
Best time: March to April and September, dawn and dusk
Rules
In the park you move only on marked trails (Article 15 of the Nature Conservation Act), also at dawn and dusk. Do not walk up to a moose, especially a cow with a calf in May and June, because she can attack. Do not fly a drone and do not pick up shed antlers, which is banned in national parks.
About the place
Kampinos National Park lies just outside Warsaw, and the moose is its emblem. Moose were brought back here after the war, and today it is one of the best places to watch them in central Poland. Beavers and cranes also live on the wet meadows and in the alder woods.
