See the pre-saleWhere to watch
You reach Florianka on foot or by bike along a marked trail, for example from Górecko Kościelne or Zwierzyniec. The horses graze on the meadows around the settlement, so watch from the road and the trail. Mornings are best, before school groups arrive.
What you can see
Polish konik horse, red deer, black stork, Ural owl
Best time: May to September, morning
Rules
In the park you walk only on marked trails (Article 15 of the Nature Conservation Act). Do not touch, approach or feed the horses, and keep a dog on a short lead. The konik is a domestic breed, but wild animals in the park are protected from disturbance.
About the place
At Florianka, in the middle of Roztocze National Park, the park keeps a refuge for the Polish konik horse. The horses live in near-natural conditions, and foals are born in spring. Beech and fir woods around it hold red deer and black storks.
